However, to access these careers you need to have passed the food handler exam and obtained your certification. There’s an important reason for this: food handling practices can have a big impact on the safety of the foods we consume. An item that has been improperly stored, left at the incorrect temperature, or handled on a surface that hasn’t been properly cleaned can have serious consequences. Those consuming the food might fall ill, or be exposed to an allergen and develop a dangerous reaction.

1. Ask Plenty of Questions When Preparing for the Food Handler Exam

To make sure that you get a good night’s sleep before your exam, try avoiding any electronic devices for at least an hour before going to bed. Staying away from caffeine and sugary foods and drinks can also help you avoid having a spike of energy just as you try to go to sleep.

3. Try a Few Stress-Busting Tricks
