What’s Happening in February

We can’t believe its already February! Busy with many important events and workshops, January went by very quickly, and with the exciting upcoming calendar for February, we’re sure this month with feel very similar.

AAPS is very excited to offer a variety of different workshops, many of them are even free! Have a look at what is coming up this month, and be sure to register soon – space is limited!


HPLC School
Date: February 1-12, 2016

Training with the best in the Pharmaceutical Industry, students will get hands-on practical experience in our modern laboratory and learn the fundamentals of HPLC. At the end of HPLC School, students will receive a certificate acknowledging the completion of the course. FREE: How to Find Jobs in Food and Pharmaceutical Industries Workshop
Date: February 4, 2016

Dean Laleh Bighash will be giving a talk on how to join the stable food and pharmaceutical industry. She will go over topics, including but not limited to, job search strategies and resume and interview preparation techniques. GMP and HACCP Workshop in Food Industry
Date: February 6 &13, 2016

This two-day course is aimed at all persons employed in food and food related businesses that need to have a good understanding of HACCP. Taught by Pirouz Yousefian, this course is particularly useful for those involved in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP and individuals who are, or intend to become members of HACCP teams. Food Handler Certificate
Date: February 27, 2016

AAPS’ training and certification is delivered in partnership with the Toronto Board of Health meeting all mandatory provincial food safety training requirements. This food handling program is recognized by all health units in Ontario. AAPS’ Food Handler Certification Program teaches food handlers the general principles of safe food handling, includes, but is not limited to, topics such as Public Health Legislation and Understanding Foodborne Illnesses.
