This Certificate course provides an introduction to the Cannabis Industry. This course focuses on the quality assurance standards, compliance requirements and relevant Regulations as set forth by Health Canada are discussed in detail.
The course focuses on Quality Systems for the Cannabis Industry, and Good Production Practices, including: SOPs, Production Control, Building and Facilities, Equipment, Sanitation, Testing, Destruction and Personnel. The training also includes Good Documentation Practices, general documentation requirements and importance, identification of some major types of documentation, general description of these documents and managing documentation – including by electronic means.
The course also concentrates on the Regulations for testing, including Quality Control for Cannabis, Analytical Testing Requirements Wet Chemistry & Physical Tests, Cannabinoids Testing, Terpenes, Aflatoxins, Residual Solvents, Heavy Metals, Pesticides, Microbiology. The management of Recalls and Complaints are included in the training along with Recall examples and a complaint case study. An overview of Self-Inspections and Regulatory inspections is also provided.
