Program Overview


The Pharmaceutical Quality Control and Quality Assurance Post-Graduate Diploma Program provides students with the comprehensive knowledge and skills in the fields of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. All courses are delivered by experts from the pharmaceutical industry. Through this program, students have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art laboratory that simulates working in a GMP environment.

This intensive and hands-on diploma program is designed to prepare students for employment in the field of pharmaceutical laboratory. Practical physical and chemical techniques coupled with the state-of-the-art instrumentation are used for analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products. AAPS provides training using the latest instruments and techniques including High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Karl-Fischer Titrator, Dissolution, IR and UV-Vis Spectroscopy.

This program is designed to provide strong technical and practical skills needed to work in a well-regulated environment.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Quality Control Post-Graduate Diploma Program may work for pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics and cannabis companies as well as testing laboratories. Employment of Quality Control Analyst and Quality Assurance Associates are in demand as each production batch must be tested prior to release. Certifications

Graduates will receive a Post-Graduate Diploma on Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Quality Control. This program is approved as a vocational program under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005. The Ontario Career Colleges Branch is part of the Ministry of Colleges and Universities and the Superintendent of Ontario Career Colleges is an appointed position by the Minister of Colleges and Universities.
